Qigong is a practice that focuses on cultivating and balancing "Qi" (life energy) through controlled breathing, gentle movements, and meditation. It's primarily used for health, healing, and spiritual development.

Tai Chi, on the other hand, is a martial art that incorporates similar principles of energy flow and mindfulness but is more dynamic, featuring a series of flowing, choreographed movements. While both promote relaxation and wellness, Tai Chi is more structured and typically practiced as a form of self-defense or exercise, whereas Qigong is more focused on meditative energy cultivation.

Difference: Yoga vs Qigong

Yoga is an ancient practice from India that integrates physical postures (asanas), breathing techniques (pranayama), meditation, and ethical principles to promote physical, mental, and spiritual well-being. It emphasizes flexibility, strength, and mindfulness.

Qigong, rooted in Chinese tradition, combines gentle movements, controlled breathing, and meditation to cultivate and balance "Qi" (life energy) for health and longevity. It focuses more on energy flow, relaxation, and internal balance.

While both promote holistic health, Yoga often includes a broader spiritual and philosophical framework, whereas Qigong is primarily focused on energy cultivation and healing.

Medical Qigong: Harnessing the Power of Qi for Healing

What is Medical Qigong?

Medical Qigong is the application of Qigong (energy work) for medical purposes. The practitioner assists the patient by redirecting, cleansing, purging, regulating and balancing  the patients energies.  The practitioner uses various hand movements, breathing techniques  and intention to perform the energetic healing process. Often the patient can feel certain things happening in the body, both on a physical and emotional level. Sometimes, the patient simply gets a sense of deep relaxation and well-being. The experience of the treatment will be different for each patient. There are no invasive techniques used.

Medical Qigong is a specialized branch of Qigong that integrates traditional Chinese medicine principles with specific breathing techniques, movements, and meditative practices to promote healing and restore balance to the body’s energy systems. It focuses on the cultivation and regulation of "Qi" (life energy) to address various health conditions, prevent illness, and support overall wellness.

How Medical Qigong Works

By combining movement, controlled breathing, and visualization techniques, Medical Qigong helps unblock energy pathways (meridians) and enhance the flow of Qi. This promotes the body's natural healing processes, balances organ function, and restores vitality. Sessions are tailored to individual needs, focusing on specific health concerns or general wellness.
